What is the difference between explosion-proof solenoid valves and ordinary solenoid valves

2023年03月05日

Electromagnetic valve is an industrial equipment controlled by electromagnetic force, which is an automated fundamental component used to control fluids. It belongs to actuators and is not limited to hydraulic or pneumatic systems. It is used in the industrial control system to adjust the direction, flow, speed and other parameters of the medium. Electromagnetic valves can collaborate with different circuits to achieve the desired control, while ensuring precision and flexibility in the control. There are many types of solenoid valves, and different solenoid valves play a role in different directions of the control system. The most commonly used are one-way valves, safety valves, directional control valves, speed control valves, etc.

The principle of explosion-proof solenoid valve

The electromagnetic valve has a closed chamber with through holes in different directions, each of which is connected to a different oil pipe. The center of the chamber is a piston, and there are two electromagnets on both sides. The magnetic coil on which side is energized will attract the valve body to which side. By manipulating the movement of the valve body, different oil discharge holes can be opened or closed. The oil inlet hole is normally open, and hydraulic oil will enter different oil discharge pipes. Then, the pressure of the oil will push the piston of the oil cylinder, which in turn drives the piston rod, which in turn drives the mechanical equipment. In this way, by manipulating the current of the electromagnet to turn off, mechanical motion is controlled.

Differences between explosion-proof solenoid valves and general solenoid valves

The difference between a general solenoid valve and an anti riot solenoid valve is reflected in the junction box. The so-called anti riot refers to the insufficient energy conversion caused by the electromagnetic head lock to ignite the corresponding environmental gas. Simply put, it means that the energy required for the electromagnetic head to operate is very dangerous when exposed to combustible gases.

Explosion proof solenoid valve is a device that encloses all parts of the equipment that may be ignited with explosive gas mixture in a shell. The shell can withstand the explosive mixture that penetrates into the interior of the shell through any joint surface or structural vacancy of the shell without damage, and will not cause ignition in an explosive environment formed by one or more gases or vapors outside. The components that may ignite sparks, arcs, and hazardous temperatures are placed in the explosion-proof shell, which separates the internal space of the equipment from the surrounding environment. The explosion-proof shell has voids due to the breathing and gas permeation effects of electrical equipment, which may result in explosive gas mixtures inside.

1、 Explosion proof solenoid valves have a long service life.

2、 Explosion proof solenoid valve operation system: divided into three types: long-term operation system, repeated short-term operation system, and short-term operation system. Explosion proof solenoid valves are all operated on a long-term basis, meaning that the coils are allowed to be energized for long-term operation. For situations where long-term valve registration only requires short-term closure, it is advisable to choose a normally open solenoid valve. When used in short-term work schedules with large batches, special orders can be made to reduce power consumption.

3、 Explosion proof solenoid valve operation frequency: When the action frequency requirement is high, the structure should preferably be a direct acting solenoid valve, and the power supply should preferably be communicated.
